Gifts Left Behind is a poignant look at the lessons learned from a World War II hero, a dad, brother, husband and friend. Jim Beran authored a book about his father Walter titled “The Biggest Short Guy: The Amazing Untold Story of Walter Beran, The CPA Who Changed LA”. “Exploring the American Spirit” with Mary Parks airs on Southern California’s PBS affiliate KVCR-TV 24 reaching viewers in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. In the Palm Springs region their show can be seen on KVCR-DC Channel 9. Mary Parks is an award-winning television journalist who’s spent most of her career in LA, the second largest media market in the nation.
